Moving to Ireland for a new hospitality job

Are you considering moving to Ireland and want to find a new hospitality or catering job? Action Recruitment is there for you every step of the way. If you need assistance with accommodation, we can help with that as well.

We will guide you through every step of the way. From initial application to interview preparation. Furthermore, we will provide you with all the necessary information regarding life and work in Ireland. Based on your experience, we will advise you of the best starting point as well as necessary steps.

Reaching out to us

You can reach out to us either by emailing your up to date CV in English. Or you can just give us a call. If you don’t have a CV, we’ve made an excellent CV templates that work well for hospitality. You can download them from “Candidates” page on our website.

First Interview

First interview will be with one of our consultants to see what your preferences are. They will check your level of English as well as references and certificates. Calls are done via Skype video call or Viber/WhatsApp.

After the interview, we will send you options of available hospitality careers. We will also check if it’s possible to find you a job in hospitality with accommodation. You will need to give us with your interview availability as well as your Skype ID.

Interview(s) with the client

After you decide where you would like your application to be submitted to, we will represent you to our client.

We will prepare you as much as we can and give you all the vital information. You will need to do your own web research and you can come back to us with any questions that you have.

Depending on level of the role you have applied for, you will have one to three interviews. For management roles you may be asked to come to the hotel for a few days to meet with them in person.

Job Offer

If you successfully passed the interview process, you will first be verbally offered. We will let you think about it for the next 24 hours and then you need to come back to us with an answer. After you accept verbally, you will get a written offer letter with all the conditions. After you sign it, you can buy your airplane ticket and you are ready to go!

Accommodation

Getting a job in hospitality with accommodation can be difficult in Ireland.  Demand for accommodation is massive and rents in towns (Dublin, Cork) are high. If you don’t already have accommodation secured, we invite you to consider resorts or smaller towns. The reason behind our suggestion is simple. Our clients will either offer you one month free accommodation or staff accommodation on reduced prices. This will help you to stand on your feet. You will be able to save some money and source something for yourself via daft.ie. Alternatively, some of your colleagues might also help with a recommendation. Action Recruitment has an agreement with all our clients to help with accommodation for candidates coming from abroad.

To view all available properties for rent or shared accommodation, we suggest you use DAFT.ie
