Hospitality Jobs in Ireland

A career in the hospitality industry can be a very satisfying and rewarding one. There are many Managers who can tell you they started their hospitality careers as a waiter in a busy café or accommodation assistant in a hotel.  Through passion and dedication, they were able to work their up through the Industry to get their dream job.

So, what kind of hotel jobs are out there and how do I know which one is for me?  There are many different types of college courses you can do in different colleges throughout Ireland.   It is just a case of finding the right one for you. Once you have completed your diploma/degree course, many hotels offer graduate training programs.  In these programmes you get to work in all the departments of the hotel before deciding which one works best for you.

There are also a lot of people in Senior Hospitality Management roles who did not go to college.  These people instead worked their way up through the industry and have gained invaluable experience along the way. When it comes to hospitality recruitment, some hotels and restaurants will hold open days.  This is where you get to come along and speak to a few different people about what role you are ideally looking for.

You could also go down the path of registering with a good and reputable hospitality recruitment agency.  Look for a hotel recruitment agency who would specialise in hotel/hospitality jobs and will advice you on what roles to take depending on your interest and experience.

So lots to think about but one thing is for sure, no matter what route you go down in the hospitality industry, no two days are ever the same.   If its variety you are looking for then you are sure to get it! It may not be a Monday-Friday position but through hard work and dedication you can achieve your true potential.  Log onto Action Recruitment today to view all our hospitality jobs in Ireland.
