Our client owns a luxury 5 star hotel on one of the islands with leisure centre, award winning restaurant and one of the best views on the island. We are looking for a hands on deputy general manager who will lead and motivate the team.
As DGM you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of all Hotel operations therefore this is a role for someone with a strong F&B background.
You will effectively manage all Heads of Department, champion and maintain consistency of Brand standards, be product and customer focused with a clear emphasis on training and development. You will also ensure revenue opportunities are maximised and manage an effective cost programme to ensure budgeted sales and profit targets are met.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills alongside attention to detail and good operations management experience.
As DGM you will support managers with the recruitment and planning of the labour resource in line with budget and business needs encompassing rotas, forecasting and timesheet control.
Competencies of a Deputy General Manager:
We are looking for someone with a F&B focus who has excellent people skills, is hardworking, committed, organised, and able to motivate others.
To meet the challenge of this role you will have:
· 2 years’ experience working in a similar or Operations Manager role
· Previous F&B /Restaurant Manager experience
· Strong commercial acumen
· Up to date knowledge of statutory obligations
· A proven track record in excellent service delivery and achieving goals and objective
