My professional career began in the hospitality industry where I got the opportunity to progress very quickly. Quite early on I realised that becoming an HR professional would be a dream come true. Needless to say, I went ahead and pursued it. In the meantime, I studied BA in Psychology and also obtained my CIPD qualification.
Throughout my career I was privileged to be mentored by some amazing managers, who thought me that questioning the status quo is necessary, becoming stagnant is dangerous, empowering and developing people will make them shine and integrity is a virtue.
Working for Hilton Worldwide for 7 years gave me endless opportunities to grow my career in Human Resources. During my time with the company, I lead the HR function at the Conrad Dublin and took on the role of the Recruitment Specialist for Hilton Worldwide Irish properties.
Following my time at Hilton Worldwide, I progressed to be the HR Manager with Choice Hotels Ireland and the Dalata Hotel Group and worked alongside some more fantastic people. I also got a chance to meet “the reason” behind my move to the stunning County Kerry.
After spending 2 years working in recruitment, including Action, I was approached with an incredible opportunity to lead the recruitment function and co-lead the HR function in preparation for the eagerly awaited re-opening of Adare Manor Resort. 2 years and 1 promotion later, I was ready for my next challenge.
